These terms govern your purchase of a document from Heavy Duty Manual ("we", "us"). They are between you and us. Please read them before you buy — you are asked to agree to them at checkout, and we keep a record of the version you agreed to.
1. Who you are buying from
We are an independent seller of equipment documentation. We are not a manufacturer, a dealer, or an authorised representative of any manufacturer.
Payment is taken by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (the entity Link, LLC, formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), which acts as merchant of record for the transaction. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for payment purposes, it charges your card, it handles tax, and its Buyer Terms apply to the payment itself. These terms cover what we supply to you and what we each promise about it.
2. What you are buying
You are buying one copy of one document, delivered as a PDF file, together with our service of locating, preparing and delivering it.
We do not own the copyright in manufacturer documentation and we do not grant you any rights in the underlying work. Whatever you may lawfully do with your copy is determined by copyright law and by any rights the copyright owner gives you. We make no representation that any manufacturer has licensed you.
As a condition of sale, you agree that you will not: resell, rent, or sub-licence the file; republish it, post it publicly, or upload it to a file-sharing, torrent, or document-hosting site; share your download link with anyone else; or use automated tooling to bulk-download from us. The copy is for you — personally, or within the business that bought it — for maintaining, servicing and repairing your own equipment.
If you believe we are distributing something we should not be, see section 9.
3. Delivery
Every listing states which of two delivery models applies.
Instant. The download link is issued the moment your payment clears and the file is available immediately.
Prepared to order. We obtain and check the file after you order. Most are ready within minutes to a few hours, and at most one business day. Until it is ready your order page shows "preparing"; when the file lands the page shows your download link. If we cannot deliver within one business day we will contact you and you may either agree to wait or have the order refunded in full.
4. Your download link
Each order gets its own order page and its own download link. The link stays valid for 72 hours and allows up to 5 downloads. That is deliberately generous for one buyer and deliberately tight for a link that gets passed around.
Save the file when you download it. Once saved, the file is yours to keep and use offline permanently — we cannot and will not reach into your device to remove it, and nothing in these terms lets us revoke a copy you already have.
If your link runs out, you can sign in at /account/ with the email address you bought with and issue yourself a fresh 72-hour link (once per order per day). If that does not work, email us and we will reissue it. We do not charge for reissuing a link to the person who bought it.
5. Refunds
Our own policy is that sales are final: we do not give change-of-mind refunds on a file that has already been supplied. What we do instead is fix the problem — if the file is wrong, corrupt, incomplete, or not what the listing described, tell us and we will supply a corrected file or a working link, at no charge. Two honest qualifications:
- Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record and may grant a refund under its own Buyer Terms and under applicable law, whether or not our policy would. That is its decision, not ours.
- Rights you have by law that cannot be excluded are not affected by anything here. See section 3 of Returns & Refunds, which names them.
6. Immediate supply, and the EU/UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m); UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 regulation 37).
By ticking the consent box at checkout you expressly request that we begin supplying the file immediately, and you expressly acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal or cancellation once supply begins.
We record that consent — the exact wording, the version, the time, and your IP address — and we confirm it back to you with your order. Supply begins when your download link is issued. This waiver applies only to the withdrawal right; it does not touch your rights if the file is faulty or not as described (UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 sections 34–36 and 47; EU Directive 2019/770).
7. Manufacturer names and trademarks
Brand, model and part names are used only to identify the equipment a document covers. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We are an independent seller and are not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any manufacturer.
8. Safety, accuracy, and your own judgement
This is reference documentation, not professional advice, and not a substitute for a qualified technician.
Specifications, procedures and part numbers vary by serial number, market and build date. Always verify what you read against your own machine's data plate and serial number before ordering parts or carrying out work. You are responsible for working safely: for isolating energy sources, for supporting loads, for the tools and protective equipment you use, and for complying with the law where you are. Use this documentation at your own risk.
9. Copyright complaints
If you own copyright in material we are offering and you believe we should not be, write to [email protected] with the listing URL, what you own, and how we can verify it. We remove listings on receipt of a credible complaint, normally the same day. See our copyright page for the full procedure.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including damage to equipment, lost work, downtime, or lost profits.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and the state and federal courts serving our registered office have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and it does not displace Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms, which govern the payment contract.
12. Changes, and how to reach us
We may update these terms. Each version is published with a version number and a content hash, and the version in force for your order is the one you agreed to at checkout — we keep that version and can send you a copy. Changes are never applied backwards to a completed order.
